ARTICLE 50Displaying

As you would have seen in the headlines Article 50 has been taken to the High Court to decide wether the government have the power to trigger Article 50 using what is known as "prerogative powers". So what are the options...


Mark and AWM adviser Nicola Glass (who has been based in our SA office) took a trip into the heart of Cape Town’s culture, Khayelitsha, to visit one of Uthando's projects. Uthando, meaning "love" in Xhosa (one of South Africa's many spoken languages) is a unique non-profit and Fair Trade in Tourism accredited organization which aims to raise funds for life changing community development projects in South Africa. A suitcase full of clothing, kindly collected by St Francis School in Ascot, was taken to the children of Iminathi “Stand with Us” Educare Center. The center educates and develops more than 90 children aged between 6 months to 6 years and prepare them for their educational journey in Khayelitsha. At Sunningdale the AWM team have also been out supporting the local pre Christmas events with a stand at the Lynwood Care/Retirement Village fayre. AWM has always been committed to adding value to clients through innovative alternative investments. Risk management  coupled with the growing demand of structured products and alternative investments by private wealth firms has been a major theme in recent years.  Mark Insley was invited to join the ‘Expert Panel’ at a Structured Products (SP) conference hosted by Investec in Johannesburg. 
The three-day event attended by IFAs and Private Wealth Investors included a day-long training workshop, focusing on various SP designs provided by leading industry experts and providers.

On the second day, Mark was one of the panelists in the Stream B Interview with IFAs and Private Wealth Investors. He offered best insights and knowledge in the industry, ranging from how to decide on asset allocation to offshore distribution. This event was approved by the CFA institute as well as the Continuing Professionals Development, CPD.
